Ashia Bison Rouge has improvised to thunderstorms and performed on a windy night in a theater in the middle of the Death Valley desert. Her intriguing voice and captivating cello playing carefully takes the audience into the deep dark woods of a sci-fi fairytale and out into the arms of a beloved friend. With her command of looping pedals and effects she creates distant journeys of electronic, pulsating, multi-layered orchestral pieces and then deconstructs them down into ambient, classical, and familiar nostalgic songs.
Next to her solo project she has performed for and/or with Cirque du Soleil, Holzmarkt Berlin, Chamaleon Theater, Portland Cello Project, Jherek Bischoff, Vagabond Opera and the Wintergarten Variete in Berlin. In the Spring of 2015, Ashia Bison Rouge had the honor to perform her solo songs with the Salem Chamber Orchestra in Salem, Oregon.
