Dali se dohromady na podzim roku 2014 v sestavě Asheema a Bob, Luke a Lukáš. U baskytary byl tehdy Mort, dnes už to je pár let Kubassa. V různých časových obdobích a etapách část z nich proplouvala i dalšími hudebními seskupeními. Tak ses s nimi mohl potkat třeba v Lion Taxi Service, Urban Bushman nebo Tribe Town.
Spojuje je láska k reggae s přesahem ke kořenům soulu, funku, rapu nebo afrobeatu, odkud čerpají inspiraci. Největší navigátor jejich tvorby ale stále zůstává Bob Marley. Takže pokud jej v jejich hudbě slyšíte, nezdá se vám to. Dlouhá léta se věnují studiu jeho písní, zvuku a postupně odkrývají genialitu skrývající se za Marleyho hudbou, kterou se snaží přenést do své tvorby. První koncert Rising Spirits se odehrál symbolicky 5. února 2015 u příležitosti nedožitých sedmdesátin Boba Marleyho. Něžnost zpěvačky, brutální tvrdost bubeníka, precizní pracovitost basáka… kontrasty, které vás nenechají chladnými.

They got together in the autumn of 2014 with Asheema and Bob, Luke and Lukáš. At that time, Mort was on bass then, nowadays Kubassa has been playing for a few years now. Some have drifted through other musical groupings at various times and periods. So you could meet them for example in Lion Taxi Service, Urban Bushman or Tribe Town.
Their love of reggae unites them with an overlap to their roots of soul, funk, rap, or afrobeat, from where they draw inspiration. But the greatest navigator of their work remains Bob Marley. So if you hear him in their music, you don’t seem to. They’ve spent years studying his songs, and his sound, and gradually uncovering the genius behind Marley’s music, which they’ve tried to translate into their work. The first concert of Rising Spirits took place symbolically on February 5, 2015, to mark Bob Marley’s 70th birthday. The singer’s tenderness, the drummer’s brutal hardness, and the precise workmanship of the bassist… contrast that won’t leave you cold.
